‘An African Woman’s Story of Divorce in Kenya’ is a brutally honest and gritty story of her traumatic journey of separation and divorce in an African country. It highlights the oppression – including within churches, of black African women, who dare to pursue a divorce from their abusive husbands. The book reflects the corrupt and oppressive local authority systems and negative traditional patriarchal attitudes that push women into depression, leaving them powerless and helpless. Yet, the book is also an incredibly inspiring story of hope and healing for families in this season on the continent of Africa.
